Rollbit has created NF Lootboxes, filled with cash prizes and popular NFTs like CryptoPunks, Bored Apes, Mutant Apes, and more.
What is a NFT Lootbox?
Let us break it down, Rollbit, a popular online Crypto Casino launched Lootboxes back in mid September under the name Rollboxes. A Lootbox is Rollbit’s virtual take on an online mystery box. If you have heard of them, an online mystery box contains physical items that if you win can be shipped to you. In the case of a Lootbox, it is filled with high value NFTs and Cash. A user then takes a spin at the mystery box and can win a Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT, other NFTs, cash, or strikes out.
Rollbit and other users can create Lootboxes. Users are enticed to create Lootboxes and gamble their own NFTs for a share in the earnings generated from users playing the Lootbox.
Some NFTS are external and if you win Rollbot will purchase on your behalf or if they cannot purchase you will be awarded the cash equivalent.
Which NFTs Can I Win?
Rollbit says they are avid NFT collectors and investors. They have added many high value NFTs and we expect them to continue to do so. Are you eager to get your hands on an NFT? We do not blame you, at the time of posting this article there is the following NFT’s in mystery boxes on Rollbit:
- CryptoPunks 6
- Bored Ape Yacht Club 26
- Rollbots 100+ (Rollbots are Rollbits very own NFT. A great project with hard to match utility)
There are many more NFTs listed in Lootboxes, here a few more mentions: Goons of Balatroon, Peaceful Groupies, Gambling Apes, The Humanoids, and Lazy Lions.
What are my Odds of Winning an NFT?
That is the big question!! The odds are quite different from Lootbox to Lootbox. Either Rollbit or a Rollbit user can create a Lootbox. In a less expensive Lootbox, odds of winning an NFT may be worse than in a more expensive one for example. Check out our figure below of a Mutant Ape Yacht Club NFT Lootbox. The Lootbox is created by Lootbot, which is the user for Rollbit admins. The Lootbox has a cost of $29.48 to play.
There are six items in the Mutant Ape Yacht Club NFT Lootbox. The values are shown at the bottom and the odds of winning are at the top.
|Prize||Prize Value||Odds of winning|
|Mutant Ape Yacht Club #20038||$16,000||0.050% (1 in 2000)|
|$16,000||$16,000||0.050% (1 in 2000)|
|$100||$100||5% (1 in 20)|
|$50||$50||10% (1 in 10)|
|$10||$10||20% (1 in 5)|
|Game Over||$0||64.9% (1 in 1.5)|
Can I Really Win An NFT?
Lootboxes have been live for over 6 weeks now and in that time, we tried our luck a few dozen times. We had no luck winning an NFT, but in trying for the NFTs we won some cash. We then “re-invested” that cash trying to win an NFT and ultimately ended up without one. It is gambling after all, and with gambling you should be prepared to lose what you spend. In this Case there is just a different prize to win other than just cash.
We did read of many wins on social media and witnessed one watching a live stream. We know of two CryptoPunks that have been Won and Rollbit purchased them back from the winners to relist them.
Rollbit uses verifiable provably fair methods in the Lootboxes. The same methods are widely used on most online casino house games including their own. You can read more about these methods on their website and verify fairness by reviewing the server seed hash.
We Hope You Win an NFT
If you do get lucky and win yourself an NFT you can withdrawal it to your personal NFT Wallet or you can list it on Rollbits own NFT Marketplace. Their Marketplace is a breakthrough in trading NFTs and avoiding the gas fees of Ethereum. If you want to take a risk, you can even create your own Lootbox with your new prize NFT and share in the earnings generated from other users playing it.
If you enjoy gambling and NFTs like we do here at HighRollSlots.com, then you may enjoy playing on Rollbit. Please gamble responsibly, make sure you are of legal age and in an approved territory.
